Climate
The tropical climate is tempered by almost constant sea breezes. Temperatures range from 24–30°c (75–87°f). Annual rainfall varies from about 150 cm (60 in) in the northern and southern coastal belts to as much as 380 cm (150 in) in the Central Highlands. There is a wet season from June to December, but rain falls periodically throughout the year. Hurricanes are a natural hazard, particularly between June and November.
